Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash at 795 North

State Police: One lane of the ramp from I-695 heading to I-795 North is open as investigation continues.

A man was killed Tuesday morning in a single-car crash on the ramp from I-695 onto I-795, according to Maryland State Police.

Police released the name of the victim this afternoon.

"He went off the left side of the roadway, down into the grass maybe 20 feet and through the guardrail, overturned and hit a tree," State Police Cpl. Tom Heath said.

The name of the deceased driver is not been released pending family notification.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on the ramp from the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway that leads to I-795 North, Heath said.

Commuters are encouraged to take Reisterstown Road as an alternate route.
