Man, Juvenile Arrested in Liberty Road Armed Robbery

A man and teen were arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery.

According to a police report, a Milford Mill man got off the bus at Liberty Road and Washington Avenue at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, when Dartez Christopher Hatcher, 21, of Brooklyn, MD, allegedly grabbed him from behind.

The victim said he saw a semi-automatic handgun. Meanwhile, the juvenile, a resident of the Ramblewood area of Baltimore, allegedly approached the victim from the front and stole his cell phone, shoes and hat, the report states.

Police said the two suspects were found a short time later in the same area.

"Suspect Hatcher was wearing [the] victim's hat and shoes which were described," it states.

The $400 Prada shoes and $60 hat were recovered, but not the $300 phone, according to the report.

Hatcher was charged with armed robbery, robbery, felony firearm use, first- and second-degree assault and theft of less than $1,000, according to court records.

His preliminary hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 8.
