Lochearn Crime: Carjacking of Dirt Bike Reported

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct. Charges do not indicate convictions.

A juvenile was robbed of his dirt bike in Lochearn.

At 2 p.m. June 30 in the 6800 block of Liberty Road, a man took the juvenile off the dirt bike and rode away, according to a report by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct.

The victim's family saw the suspect at that location the same day, and police found the dirt bike "nearby in the trees," the report states. Police returned the bike to the owner.

An adult resident of that block was charged in that incident—a "robbery carjacking," it states.

He was charged with carjacking, robbery, second-degree assault and theft of less than $1,000, according to court records.

He's being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center. His preliminary hearing is July 26.
