Gun Safety Topic of Police Group Meeting Tuesday

The Pikesville Police & Community Relations Council will hear the commander's report and discuss plans to provide holiday dinners to police on duty. The guest speaker is an instructor at a local pistol range.

An instructor from the Baltimore County Police Department's pistol range is scheduled to be a guest speaker during the monthly meeting of the Pikesville on Oct. 25.

He will discuss gun safety and other topics related to the pistol range, said Jerry D'Antoni, president of the PCRC.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at . Any member of the community who would like to get to know and support the work of the Baltimore County police is welcomed.

Also on the agenda are:

  • Commander's Report from Capt. Roman Zaryk
  • Report on holiday dinners that PCRC volunteers are putting together for the 30-35 officers who will be on duty on Thanksgiving.

PCRC President Jerry D'Antoni said he urges residents to attend these community meetings. The group works to support the officers, and to provide funds for some equipment, programs and events.
