Four Teens Charged with First-Degree Attempted Murder

A Pikesville 16-year old and three others from Gwynn Oak have been arrested in the shooting of a Morgan State student.

Four teens face life in prison after police charged them with first-degree attempted murder and related charges in connection with a shooting Nov. 9 in Milford Mill, according to police charging documents.

Police discovered Ian Holland, 21, a student at Morgan State, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the unit block of Tentmill Lane in Pikesville.

Holland, who lives in Baltimore city, was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where earlier in the week, he was listed in critical condition, according to a Nov. 14 article in The Baltimore Sun.  Hospital officials could not be reached for an update on Friday.

The witness told police that he heard a single gunshot at the front of the vehicle and ran. One of the assailants, armed with a handgun, chased him and several shots were fired.

When the fleeing person fell, the male who was chasing him "stood over top of him pointing a revolver and demanding his property," police documents state.

The victim gave the gunman his wallet and its contents while another male removed a backpack from the rear passenger seat of the car and another backpack from the trunk of the vehicle.

When police arrived, the victim who had been chased was attending to Holland.
