Former Cop Faces Prison for Pimping Out Teenage Wife

A former Baltimore police officer has pleaded guilty to charges that he served as a pimp for his 19-year-old wife and another young woman who lived with him, according to news reports. He faces up to five years in prison.

According to The Baltimore Sun, Lamin Manneh, 32, advertised the two women's services online last year and arranged for them to meet more than 300 customers for sex at hotel rooms and homes.

Authorities said Manneh is also accused of carrying his police-issued weapon while the women met with clients, WBAL TV says. He reportedly collected all or part of their earnings.

City police told WBAL Manneh’s arrest was an embarrassment and a disgrace.

He was arrested after being caught in a sting by Maryland State as part of a child-sex trafficking task force that responded to one of Manneh’s ads, the newspaper reports.
