Firefighters Work to Rescue Man Trapped in Trench

All-terrain rescue team is at a construction site along Woodvalley Drive in Pikesville.

A man is trapped in a trench in Pikesville, and the Baltimore County Fire Department is working to rescue him.

The man was working at a home under construction in the 2900 block of Woodvalley Drive in Pikesville, according to a news release from the fire department.

Members of the fire department's all-terrain rescue team are at the scene as well as additional fire department apparatus, the release states.

"As a precautionary measure, and due to the length of the ensuing rescue,  shock trauma doctors from the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center have been called to the scene," according to the release.
