Police: Family Fight Features Machete, Bat, Sock n Lock

Family members allegedly wielded a variety of weapons after a verbal argument between a brother and sister, according to Baltimore County police.
Between 11-11:40 p.m. July 25, a mother and brother—both adults—and six other unidentified people, allegedly took up arms against their 18-year-old daughter/sister and three other people, according to Elise Armacost, police spokeswoman.
The initial argument took place earlier that night, Armacost said.

The brother allegedly wielded the machete while the mother allegedly took up a steel baseball bat during the assault that occured in front of an apartment at 6800 Liberty Road, according to a police report and Armacost.
During the physical confronation, several people were struck, and one man allegedly had a machete swung at him, but all declined treatment, Armacost said.

Although information is still incomplete, Armacost said that the victim was allegedly hit by a lock in a sock and two others were hit with a bat.
There is no record of arrests, and an investigation is ongoing, she said.
