Envoy Staff Member Thwarts Alleged Burglary

A Pikesville assisted living facility employee thwarted an alleged attempted burglary early Tuesday morning by alerting police that someone was in the building.

Juares Hashe Douglass Jr., 20, of the 4700 block of Pimlico Road in Pikesville was arrested April 17 on one charge each of second- and fourth-degree burglary.

According to a Baltimore County police report, at 3:25 a.m. that day, Douglass came through a rear basement door of at 7 Sudbrook Ln.

A staff member of the assisted living facility saw him and called 911, the report states.

Police say they caught up with Douglass at the nearby intersection of Reisterstown and Slade roads. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
