Crime: Unlocked House Door Leads To Vehicle Theft

An unlocked side door was the invitation a burglar needed to ransack a house and steal a vehicle.

According to Baltimore County police, between 11:50 p.m. Oct. 3 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 4, a burglar came into a home in the 2700 block of Maurleen Dr. in Pikesville and ransacked the living room.

The criminal stole a laptop computer, house keys, vehicle keys—and a vehicle.

Both sets of keys had been in the kitchen, the report states.

Old Court Road. 2900 block. Between 7 a.m. and 2:09 p.m. Friday. A burglar stole copper items from the front lawn of a home.

Windsor Mill

Otley Court. Unit block. Between 5-11 p.m. Sunday. A burglar came into a home and stole two televisions, valued at more thn $1,200.
