CRIME LOG: Burglars Target Air-Conditioning Units, Camping Gear, Copper

Pikesville

Smith Avenue, 2800 block. Between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 4:31 a.m. Monday. A burglar removed the lock from the front door of Miller's Deli and damaged the manager's office and telephone lines. Nothing was taken.

Brightside Avenue, 200 block. Between 9 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Saturday. Someone stole two tents and a Coleman outdoor heater from a shed at the back of the property.

Stone Chapel Lane, unit block. Between 7 p.m. July 24 and 3:25 p.m. Sunday. Someone came through unsecured French doors in the back of the home and removed copper waterlines and a sump pump from the basement. Two central air-conditioning units were stolen from the back of the house.

Milford Mill Road, 3600 block. Between 5 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. A burglar stole 12-15 feet of copper piping from the cellar of a residence. A front window was opened, but there were no signs of entry and nothing else was missing, the report states.
