CRIME LOG: Burglaries in Bonnie Ridge, Elsewhere

Lochearn man arrested on charges of first- and second-degree attempted murder.

Baltimore County Police Precinct 4/Pikesville, located at 215 Milford Mill Road, recorded the following incidents. Police warn that there are now warm-weather crimes going on, and offer descriptions of those types of crimes, and .

Bonnie Ridge

Sometime from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. April 17, a burglar came into an apartment through an unlocked sliding back door and stole iPhones, a digital camera, a vacuum and cell phone accessories. The apartment is located in the 6800 block of Bonnie Ridge Drive.

There had been another first-degree burglary in another apartment in the same block the day before. Sometime from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. April 16, a burglar shattered a sliding glass door to an apartment and stole cash, a PlayStation 3, a laptop computer and video game controllers.

According to the police report, the resident came back to his apartment and noticed the door shattered and the items stolen. Police interviewed neighbors, and one said they saw a black male, who wore a black jacket, red hoodie and red knit cap, walking around the rear of the apartments, before they heard glass break.

Garrison

Countess Drive, 9300 block, sometime from 9:30 a.m. to noon April 15. A burglar came into a house and stole two laptops and an iPod.

Milford Mill

6900 block of Marsue Drive, sometime from 11 to 11:25 a.m. April 15. A resident left the door to her apartment unlocked while she took out the trash. When she returned, the door was open and a burglar had taken a TV, which was recovered; jewelry, a cell phone and other items. The TV was found behind the washing machine in the building's laundry room.

Brevort Road and Washington Ave., 7:10 p.m. April 12. Five men told a male victim to "run your pockets." One suspect took the victim's wallet from his pocket and hit him on the face with his fist. The suspects ran toward Milford Mill Road. According to the report, the suspects are described as five black men, one who is 17-19 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He wore cornrows in his hair, a white T-shirt, faded bluejeans with tear holes, black shoes and a black belt.

7800 Kenbridge Road, noon to 12:05 p.m. April 12. A burglar came in a bedroom window, activating the alarm. The suspect ran, and a K-9 team and helicopter searched, but didn't find him. The suspect is described as a 14-16-year-old black male, wearing a gray sweatshirt. Seven video games, an Xbox, a black bag, iPod and other electronics were recovered.

Pikesville

Smith Ave., in the 2900 block. Sometime from March 21 to noon April 17. Someone entered the home through the front door, damaged several walls and ceilings to steal an unknown amount of copper pipes.

Tentmill Lane, in the unit block. Sometime around April 14, to 8:50 a.m. April 15. Rashad Woods Kwiesi of the 3300 block of Kenjac Road, Windsor Mill, was arrested April 15 in Pikesville. The charges are not listed in the police report, which defines the incident as a fourth-degree burglary. According to the report, Kwiesi answered the front door of a vacant apartment "for maintenance," the report states. He left, and was arrested nearby.

Old Court Road, 4600 block. 7 to 7:09 a.m. April 12. Police arrested Michael Dewitt Harvey, 21, of 5502 Groveland Ave., Baltimore, after they charged him with robbery and second-degree assault. According to a police report, Harvey, who is the victim's ex-boyfriend, forced his way into an apartment and took a cell phone. He allegedly showed a knife. Police got him at his residence, the report states.

Tentmill Lane, an apartment in the unit block. 1 p.m. April 11. A resident received a derogatory letter in the mail regarding her sexual orientation. 

Lochearn

Dalton Drive, 6600 block, 8:48 p.m. April 14. Robert Vincent Howell, of the same address, was arrested after police charged him with attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. According to a police report, he and the man he lives with argued, then used knives against each other. One man had cuts to his face and was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was admitted. Howell also had cuts to his face and was taken to Northwest Hospital, where he was released.

6900 block of Milbrook Park Drive. 2:30 a.m. April 12. A vehicle was set on fire. The car, a 2002 Volkswagen Passat, owned by a resident of Marsue Drive, was destroyed.

Windsor Mill

3800 block of Victoria Ave. Sometime from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 12. Someone slid open the rear dining room window, came inside, propped a chair in front of the front door and took electronics, blank checks and two watches, and left out the same window.
