CRIME LOG: Attempted Murders Mark Week in Crime

In two unrelated incidents, a man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his mother; and two men were injured and taken to hospitals after a shooting in Windsor Mill.

Precinct 4/Pikesville police responded to several attempted murder incidents during the past week, including the following:

Police arrested Michel Kamau Kiingati, 19, of the 3800 block of Victoria Ave. in Lochearn, after they charged him with attempted first-degree murder.

According to a police report, at 3 p.m. April 26, his mother asked him to leave some juice for her. He then he stabbed her several times.

An officer with Precinct 4/Pikesville stopped Kiingati on Liberty Avenue minutes after the time of the attack, the report states.

In an unrelated incident, at about 11:15 a.m. April 30, a group of people arrived at their destination in the 3600 block of Florida Road in Windsor Mill, when two men confronted them.

One man pulled out a silver revolver from his waistband and fired several shots, hitting one victim in the head and the other in the abdomen.

One victim was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma, and the other to Sinai Hospital.

There is no relationship between the victims and suspects, according to the report.

Lochearn

6800 block of Liberty Road. Two robbers wielding handguns forced their way into an apartment and stole three cell phones and an iPod.

Owings Mills

100 block Greenspring Valley Road. Sometime from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. April 28. A burglar took copper downspouts from behind the house. The suspect then entered the house through an unlocked back door and stole a laptop computer.

Pikesville

4600 block of Horizon Circle. At 12:01 a.m. April 30. Police arrested Krystal Danielle Dennis, 38, of the 4600 block of Horizon Circle in Pikesville, on charges of first-degree and second-degree assault. According to a police report, Dennis lunged at her boyfriend with a kitchen knife during an argument. When her boyfriend tried to grab the knife, he cut his hands, the report states.

800 block of Cliffedge Road. Sometime from 8 a.m. April 30 through May 1. A burglar broke into a locked shed at the rear of the home and stole two Kawasaki motocross bikes and the padlock.

3500 block of Overbrook Road. Sometime from midnight April 23 to 10 a.m. April 30. A burglar took two copper downspouts from the back of the property. 

100 block of Archimedes Court. Sometime from 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. April 29. A burglar tried to open the front door with a tool but failed.

Unit block of Village Road. Sometime from 8 p.m. April 28 to 4 p.m. April 29. A burglar took a bicycle from the backyard.

800 block of Judy Lane. Sometime from 8 p.m. April 26 to 4 p.m. April 27. A burglar somehow got into a locked shed and took three chainsaws, two backpack blowers and two trimmers.

30 block of Stonehenge Circle. Sometime from 10 to 10:20 a.m. April 26. A burglar or burglars kicked in an apartment front door and ran when the alarm sounded.

Windsor Mill

3600 block of Langrehr Road. Sometime from 12:30 a.m. April 29 to 8 a.m. April 29. A burglar took down fence panels and stole two dirtbikes from the backyard.
