CRIME: Hammer-Wielding Home Invaders, Shoes Thief Mark Week in Crime

Baltimore County police from Pikesville's Precinct 4 report more burglaries, bicycle thefts and robberies.

A resident of the 800 block of Hopewood Road in Pikesville told police that a burglar stole everything from electronics to shoes—amounting to thousands of dollars in losses.

At 5:17 p.m. May 20, the resident left his home at 3 p.m. to go to a doctor appointment, and returned later to find his home burglarized, according to the report filed in Pikesville's Precinct 4.

The burglars broke the glass to the sliding-glass door at the rear of his home and stole a video camera, two digital cameras, a laptop computer, video game systems, games and controllers, a safe—and Pradas.

Pikesville Home Invasion

Early that morning, between midnight and 2:39 a.m., two men entered a home in the 4700 block of Belle Forte Road in Pikesville, threatened the resident with hammers, stole $3,000 and a gray cellphone.

The suspects are described as two black men, ages 18-25 years. One is 6 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds. He wore a bright blue hoodie and blue jeans. The second suspect is 5-foot 11-inches tall, 160 pounds and wore a gray hoodie and blue jeans.

Brookfalls

2000 block of Fitzwarren Place. 7:30 p.m. May 21. Two men took two girls' bicycles from the rear patio of an apartment and ran.

Pikesville

1000 block of Reisterstown Road. 1:45 p.m. May 20. Two men approached another man at a restaurant, told him to give them everything, reached into his pocket and took a cellphone and money, and ran to the rear of the building.

800 block of Milford Mill Road. 2:45 p.m. May 20. A witness saw two men trying to break into the rear of the building. They bent a screen off a window frame, looked around, saw the witness watching them and ran.

8200 block of Pikesville Road. 1:55 p.m. May 18. A burglar opened an unlocked shed door, stole the weed trimmer and ran toward Pikesville Road.

8800 block of Pikesville Road. 1:30 p.m. May 17. A burglar came into the garage through an unlocked, side garage door, found the key in the ignition of an ATV, and stole the Yamaha, reportedly worth $20,000. The thief traveled eastbound on Mount Wilson Lane, toward Reisterstown Road.

900 block of Pikesville Road. 5 p.m. Between 5 p.m. May 16 to 8 a.m. May 17. A burglar threw a brick through a window near a doorknob in an area well-hidden from sight. They didn't get in because the door was locked by a bolt, which was still locked when police arrived.

Randallstown

3700 block of Courtleigh Drive. 10:20 p.m. A burglar stole a black Spalding basketball goal, and ran. The victim found the goal in the 3600 block of Yennar Lane.

Windsor Mill

3600 block of Yennar Lane. 10:10 p.m. May 21. A husband who is separated from his wife came to his wife's apartment and pushed the door into his wife while the chain lock was in place. He couldn't get in, and he left after a witness yelled from inside.
