Clowns, Crime Dog, Picnics and Dessert in the Park: Woodlawn, Randallstown Groups Celebrate National Night Out

13 community and citizens on patrol groups will gather with police to celebrate the annual event Aug. 6.

Many communities in the Woodlawn and Randallstown areas have organized community gatherings to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

It's a time to meet and greet police and neighbors, helping unite the community to look out for and report crime or suspicious activity, and to prevent crime.

The following event information is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department's Precinct 2/Woodlawn:

West Catonsville Manor


When: 6–8 p.m.

What: McGruff, a clown, children’s activities, meet-and-greet, food, beverages and vendors

West Edmondale

When:
6–8 p.m.

Where: Flagpole at St. Agnes Lane and Addington Road

Edmondson Heights Civic Association

When: 7–9 p.m.

Where: Edmondson Heights Park, at Granville and Harwell Roads

What: “Dessert in the Park,” beverages provided. Feel free to bring a dessert and bring chair(s). Children’s activities are planned.


Hilltop Community Association

When: 6–8 p.m.

Where: Corner of Brookmont and Lukewood roads

What: Cookout, beverages and children’s activities


Deerfield Community Association

When: 6–8 p.m.

Where: At dead end of Windsor Boulevard and Spring Mill Circle

What: Cookout


Greystone Community Association

When: 7:30–9 p.m.

What: Cookout, movie at dusk

Where: at Neighbor Space property off Gwynn Oak Avenue

Oakwood Village

When:
7–8:30 p.m.

Where: Circle area in the 8900 block of Harkate Way

What: Community picnic

Woodlands of Deer Park

When: 6:30–8 p.m.

Where: Deer Park Middle School, near tennis courts

What: Moon bounce for kids; food and beverages


Liberty Road Business Association

When: 5:30–9:30 p.m.

Where: Mt. Olive United Methodist Church

What: state and local government officials will attend.

Kings Park

When:
7–8 p.m.

Where: Dead end of Live Oak Road

What: Gathering and neighborhood drive at 8:30 p.m.


Mardella Run

When: 4–8 p.m.

Where: Deep Powder Court; look for signs to location

What: Meet-and-greet cookout


Stevenswood Community Association

When: 6–7:30 p.m.

Where: Stevens Park

What: Gathering and community walk at 8 p.m. beginning at the park


Timber Glen

When: 7:40 – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Entrance of community, at Hannah Court, bottom of Handy Avenue
