A former student at Shoshana S. Cardin School told police that her gym teacher and coach at the private school in Pikesville sexually abused her for years.
Foye C. Minton Jr., 33, of Cockeysville, has been charged with child abuse against a female student for offenses that police allege began in 2009 and continued for about four years, according to a news release from Baltimore County police.
The woman, now 20, contacted police last month to report the alleged abuse, according to the release. It's not clear whether Minton is still employed by the school. Minton is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
At the time of the alleged offenses, Minton, who is a resident of the unit block of Breezy Hill Court in Cockeysville, was also dean of students and director of athletics at the school.
The abuse allegedly took place in various locations, including Minton's home, according to police.
"The investigation showed that over the course of the relationship the suspect engaged in sexual activity with her at his home in Baltimore City, where he was living at the time; in the school; and at various locations in Baltimore County," the release states.
The victim told police that Minton repeatedly attempted to contact her after she ended the relationship.
Police say there may be other victims. Anyone with information should call police at 410-307-2020 to contact a detective.

She was within her right obviously to do that. And if it's true and it did happen while she was a student then yes: he is f'd. I have no point here, just looking at the circumstances that led to the "revelation". If it was 4 years, and just ended, for two years of that she was a willing, adult, participant. Please no diddle students please
More teachers have been arrested charged and convicted of child molestation than Priests. Where is the same outcry we heard about priests?
And just like the Catholic priests being shipped to other parishes, teachers too are transferred and supported by their unions. http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/39783/ 13 pages and mostly women teachers. An issue that is hidden and kept out of the main stream media.
