Police: Burglar Nabbed with Pocketful of Jewelry

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. Charges do not indicate convictions.

Police say they caught one burglar in the act of robbing a Lochearn home.

At 8:09 p.m. Saturday, burglars broke into a side-door window, "cased the residence and went through the property inside," according to a report by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct.

When burglars saw police, they ran, the report states. But police say they caught Reginald Eugene Jackson II, 23, and charged him with first-degree burglary.

"The arrested suspect had a pocket full of jewelry," it states. They also found jewelry on the floor inside the house.

Jackson, a resident of the 2500 block of Arunah Avenue, in the Bridgeview area of Baltimore, was also charged with malicious destruction of property, according to court records.

He was released Monday from the Baltimore County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, records state.

Police are still investigating.
