I agree with a lot of what you are saying but you are wrong about Crossroads. Roused ale is an alternative school that deals with expelled kids - many are only there for a quarter and then sent back to their home school. Admittedly a horribly ineffective model. Crossroads does not take expulsions and kids are there for a full year. BCPS needs some better alternative schools where the goal is not to return kids to "regular" schools, but to work with them on a permanent basis in a setting that meets their needs. The time has come for this system to face the fact that the current model simply doesn't work for a growing number of kids. Kids today have needs that go beyond one guidance counsellor per grade level.

Bobby needs to be charged as an adult because what he did was very serious. He took a shotgun and a lot of amunition to school, he took alcohol to school (reports say he had a few sips so thats another charge of underage drinking if fact), he hid the gun then put it together and fired it twice before he was stopped. There are several charges in there and they are all considered adult charges. He does need help and I hope he gets it. Prayers for Daniel's full recovery, family, and everyone at Perry Hall High School and their famlies.

and, why did all of those teachers who were in the cafeteria just stand there and let kids throw food at him?? How is that OK? unbeleivable failure of the school. when the whole story comes out i think that PHHS is going to be held partially accountable. Please pray for Bobby Jr. and his family.
