What CAN you do?
With the winds finally settling down, our community is finally starting to evaluate the mess that Hurricane Sandy left behind. For some of us, it meant that we had no electricity for a day and a lot of branches and leaves to clean up, with the occasional flooded basement. For others in Maryland, this storm brought extreme flooding, snow and days without electricity.
Advanced Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is a locally owned, physical therapy private practice, in the Pikesville community. Advanced Physical Therapy wanted to do something to give back to not only their local community, which was not hit as hard, but other Marylanders who are still in a state of crisis. This morning they decided to start a food drive for those who need extra help, due to no electricity and food spoiling, for local shelters, or for anyone in need of help.
The food drive will start today, October 31, 20212 and run until November 18th 2012. Drop offs to the Maryland Food Bank will happen at the beginning of next week and November 18th, in time for Thanksgiving. There is a box, for donations, in the lobby of their office at 4000 Old Court Road Pikesville, MD 21208. Anything canned, breakfast cereals or pasta related items are accepted.
Information about the food drive and list providing ALL needed items, can be found on their Facebook, Advanced Physical Therapy MD.
