Rev. Adrien Dawson: Travels in Jerusalem

We arrived in Tel Aviv this morning at 7 a.m. (12 midnight in Baltimore).

The flight from Newark airport to Israel took 10 1/2 hours. It is a bright sunny morning here, temperatures will be in the 90′s today and it is very dry.

The community of people who are traveling to and from Israel look much like the community in Pikesville. The plane was full of Jews, Christians, a few Muslims, students, families with small children, elderly couples, and a group of teenagers traveling with their school.

The security for El Al airlines is much more thorough than anything else I have experienced. They want to know about you, and who you know in Israel and in the Middle East, and in the US with any Middle East connections.
