'Rosh Hashanah Under The Stars' Set for Sept. 4

Baltimore Hebrew Congregation offers an open-air, Erev Rosh Hashanah celebration Sept. 4 at Oregon Ridge Park.

It's a time for families to bring out their picnics and blankets and enjoy an evening of celebration and live music in anticipation of the Jewish New Year.

The event begins at 6 p.m., but the Park opens at 4:30 p.m. with a performance by the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble, according to the congregation's website.

The service is open to all, but registration is required, the site states. Visit the event site to register, or call 443-524-0284.

You'll need a ticket confirmation, printed from your computer, to enter the event, the site states.

Print out the prayers that will be spoken at the event, or follow on your smartphone.
