Pikesville High School To Host Distracted Drivers Simulation

Pikesville High School to Host Distracted Driver Simulation

Pikesville High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) in conjunction with the Baltimore County Police will be hosting a distracted driver simulation on Tuesday, April 23 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The simulation will demonstrate to students the dangers of distracted driving, according to Baltimore County Police Officer Staci Dew, the school’s resource officer.  Students not participating in the simulator will have the opportunity to watch monitors throughout the day to observe the students driving while distracted.

The program is made possible due to a grant called Celebrate My Drive, submitted by Ofc. Dew, through the State Farm Insurance Company.  The simulator is provided by Drive Square, a company that builds driving simulators for military and civilian clients around the world.
