Readers' Choice: Vote on the Best School

In Pikesville there are plenty of schools, from public to private, including ones based on religion. Which is the best?

Where's the best school in Pikesville, the Pikesville area or northwest Baltimore to give your child a good start in life?

Is there a particular principal or teacher that makes you confident that you as a student are in the right school, or that, as parents, you've chosen well?

Does it provide a particularly good religious education?

What is it that makes a school great?

Vote for your favorite school in the poll below, that's based on nominations we received through July 9. We'll accept votes through midnight Aug. 17, so get your friends, fellow students, fellow faculty, on the same voting page to make sure yours wins the Readers' Choice contest.

Thank You For Participating!

I'm honored and proud to nominate Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School. Beth Tfiloh not only provides an unparalleled secular and Judaic education in a warm and nurturing environment, teaches crucial daily life values such as respect and kindness, empowers each child to be the best person he/she can be but also treats each child as the individual he/she is. Additionally, Beth Tfiloh is more than just a school; it's a family and a home. BT is a family like you won't find anywhere else and a home away from home, not just for the students but their "real" families as well.

I nominate Shoshana S. Cardin high school. I have one child that graduated two years ago and is now at the college of his choice. Two of my children are presently attending. Our school is a perfect example of the saying "good things come in small packages."

Hooray!! Shoshana S. Cardin school clearly rocks. We are Baltimore's only independent Jewish high school with a pluralistic curriculum. Find out why parents, students, and teachers prefer Cardin. Visit our Open House on September 12. Registration requested. Contact our front office.

Shoshana S Cardin is the school of choice. It provides an excellent and unparalleled education, because of the "one on one" attention. It also it a small and contained environment that helps everyone grow too great heights. Its environment has helped me except more all types of people and not judge them by appearances. I treat everyone as an equal and befriend everyone no matter how they look or act. I love Cardin because its not just a school its a family. I'm Shachar Luny and i'm a junior in Shoshana S Cardin Highschool: and i'm proud too be a cardinal.

At Shoshana S. Cardin, all of my classmates were interested in academic success. It made me feel comfortable to work hard and succeed. I was able to do everything I wanted and more. I participated in the school play, took art classes and played a sport every season. It is such a positive environment and the students and faculty are great models of a tolerant community. I really enjoyed my time there and highly encourage graduating middle-schoolers to check it out.
