St. Charles Borromeo Church Collects Food for Holiday Baskets

St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church is collecting turkeys and other Christmas food items for neighbors in need.

The church is trying to put together 80 Christmas food baskets.

Food, including fresh or frozen turkeys, can be dropped off at the church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Turkeys should be 12-14 pounds each.

The collection is sponsored by the paris conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

  • cake mixes
  • cake icing, canned
  • cereal
  • corn, canned
  • cranberry sauce
  • candy canes
  • evaporated milk, canned
  • fruits, canned
  • turkey gravy, jars
  • green beans, canned
  • jelly
  • Jello
  • kraut, canned
  • mixed vegetables, canned
  • muffin mixes
  • macaroni & cheese
  • pasta, boxed
  • peanut butter
  • peas, canned
  • pies, frozen
  • pork & beans, canned
  • potatoes, canned
  • instant potatoes, boxed
  • rice, boxed
  • soup, canned
  • spaghetti sauce, jar
  • spaghetti, box
  • 1-pound sausage rolls for stuffing
  • turkeys, 12-14 pounds each
  • tuna, canned
  • tomatoes, canned
  • monetary donations are welcome
