Explorers Sell Pikesville, Owings Mills, Reisterstown Discount Cards for $10 Each

Buy a $10 discount card that's good at businesses in Pikesville, Owings Mills and Reisterstown, and help a good cause—the Baltimore County Police Explorers.

Once you buy the card, the offers are good throughout the year until Dec. 31, 2012, said Officer Keith Ketterman, advisor for the Pikesville Precinct Explorers Post No. 9903.

Ketterman listed the 20 discounts available:

  • Baltimore Sports & Novelties. 10 percent off any purchase.
  • Bill Batemans Bistro. 10 percent off any purchase, excluding alcohol.
  • Cherryvale Liquors. 15 percent off of wine; 10 percent off of liquor; $1 off of case of beer. Sale items are excluded.
  • China Best. Free eggroll with lunch or dinner purchase.
  • Buy lunch or dinner entree at the regular price and get an iced coffee or a hot coffee or hot tea, free.
  • Dugan's Liquors. 20 percent off wine; 10 percent off beer.
  • Green Turtle. 10 percent off any purchase.
  • All locations. Two slices of pizza and a medium soda for $4.99, or $2 off a large pizza. Ketterman recommends: spaghetti pizza

There are a limited amount of these cards to sell—600—Ketterman said.

Explorers from the Pikesville and Franklin precincts of the Baltimore County police are selling the cards as a fundraiser.

They hope to attend The National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference this summer in Fort Collins, Colo.

There, the Explorers, ages 14-21, learn law enforcement skills and compete against thousands of other Explorers from throughout the U.S.
