Student Media Camp for Summer 2014

New for Summer 2014, The Student Media Camp opens up in Woodlawn with a series of workshops giving students, ages 8 to 16 a a "Hands On" approach to producing videos using the Apple IPad!

Our "Hands On" approach is what we've found works BEST for students who attend the Student Media Camp. We started teaching kids how to shoot and edit with the Apple IPad, a device that they already own or have access to and we've found that they have the talent to learn.

Take a look at this video produced by a kindergartner and 3rd grader. The video was a class project on the State of Indiana. Watch the video and see how much the on camera host learned about Indiana.

The directors of the Student Media Camp has worked with kids as young as 6 yrs. old for school projects and kids in their senior year of high school for Film Festivals. Our director, Calvin Watkins, has two sons, 13 and 10 years old, that produce videos with their friends and enter local film festivals. We've found that every kid can learn. And with the help of the Apple Ipad and our Student Media Movie Maker Kit, the kids have fun producing videos and learning how to be on camera, all at the same time. So, register your child for the 2014 Student Media Camp. Space is limited. www.studentmediacamp.com
