Mt. Washington 3rd Annual Block Party
The Mt. Washington
Village Association
announced that it will host a Block Party on
Sunday, October 27 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

Visitors are invited to walk the streets of Mt. Washington for
an afternoon of live music, shopping, children’s activities, food

and drinks with the Village’s participating restaurants, boutiques
and salons. The event is free to the public and the proceeds
will benefit the Mt. Washington School and PTO.
The Block Party will feature a variety of food and drinks
from the local restaurants including Ethel and Ramone’s,
Crepe Du Jour, Desert Café, Patisserie Poupon, Mt. Washington
Tavern and the Nickel Taphouse – which represent Cajun, French,
Mediterranean, and American cuisines.
The
Block Party highlights the local businesses
and services that are available in historic Mt. Washington
while providing a fun and relaxed environment.
The Mt. Washington School will organize a children’s
play area with crafts and games. There
will also be a fashion show (2pm) that showcases the fall
fashion trends from La Chic Boutque and Something Else
as well as hair and makeup by DK Salon & Spa.
Live music
and entertainment: will be provided by
the Swinging Swamis(12:00-2:00p.m.),
DJeDDible (2:00-4:00p.m.), Ama Chandra
with Xpressive4ever Dance Co (3:00p.m. in KidZone) and
Jazz Jones (4:00-6:00p.m.).
Directions:To get to the block party, take I-83 to exit 10A
Northern Parkway East. Follow Northern Parkway to the
first light at Falls Road. Turn left on Falls Road. At the next light,
turn left onto Kelly Avenue and proceed over the bridge.
Immediately after crossing the bridge, at the first light make
a sharp right onto Kelly Avenue.
Visitors can also take the Light Rail to the
Mt. Washington Station.
Parking:Free parking is available at the Mt. Washington School,
the Baltimore Clayworks parking lot, The Mt. Washington
Conference Center lot and garage, and on the Arts and
Ideas Sudbury School lot at St. John’s Church as well as
street parking in the Mt. Washington neighborhoods.
