“Ain’t No Love Like A Mother’s Love,” produced by Crystal L. Bass provides a great source of insight into the secret lives of many African American families.  Based on the novel, “Dark Clouds: A Charm City Family’s Struggle,” the stage production forces people to communicate and open dialogue about uncomfortable topics that are normally swept under the carpet. The thought provoking  presentation touches lives, and forces viewers to evaluate and improve relationships with their loved ones.  The depiction of painful, real life issues, is a true testament to faith and the power of love and forgiveness. As the family takes the audience through a roller coaster ride of heartbreak, disappointments and struggles, we are all reminded that we are human and susceptible to temptation and mistakes. Although we fall, like this family, we get up!
