Juvenile Charged in Pikesville Automobile Theft

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct. Charges do not indicate convictions.

Police charged a boy with theft of an automobile last week.

On Wednesday, a resident of the unit block of Stockmill Road in Pikesville reported that his Acura four-door car had been stolen between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to a report by Baltimore County police.

Police looked for the car and found it parked and unoccupied, and waited to see if someone would come back to it.

As the juvenile suspect got into the vehicle, officers "conducted a takedown" and arrested him, the report states.
