Twilight is dawning at Synchronicity Boutique. The Baltimore-Washington area’s “hottest special occasion clothing and accessory shop for adults and teens” was specially selected by Alfred Angelo to carry the 2012 Official Twilight Prom Line and the official replica of Bella Swan’s wedding dress from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
TWILIGHT PROM COLLECTION
Alfred Angelo designed the Twilight-inspired prom gowns to embody youth and romance. Die hard Twilight fans, known as “Twi-hards,” can envision themselves as Rosalie or Alice in dresses created to reflect the colors, moods and silhouettes described in the books and movies. Short and long dresses are available in colors such as “Black Magic,” “Darkness Falls” and “Blue Horizon.” Synchronicity is the only area store carrying the Twilight Prom collection. Prices start at $170 and all dresses are available in sizes 2–16, with many styles also available up to size 22W.
Alfred Angelo is the only manufacturer officially licensed to reproduce and sell Bella’s bridal gown and Synchronicity Boutique is one of just a few non-bridal stores authorized to sell the dress, which will arrive the week following the movie’s premier. Contractually sworn to secrecy, even Alfred Angelo’s senior sales staff has not seen the dress that is expected to be one of the best-selling styles of the season. To fit every Twilight bride, it will be available to Synchronicity customers in sizes 0 to 30W and will be priced under $700.
Synchronicity Boutique also will feature a replica of Edward Cullen’s tuxedo from Breaking Dawn - Part 1. According to Mazer, “the 1920s era-influenced traditional morning (daylight) dress tuxedo will be available for rent or purchase and is certain to make every man look gorgeous enough to die for in the spirit of the Twilight fantasy!” The tux will offer a preview of the expansive boys’ and men’s formalwear collection coming soon to Synchronicity.
“We are excited to have been chosen to carry the Alfred Angelo Twilight dresses and look forward to introducing our menswear collection with the Edward-inspired tux,” said Synchronicity Boutique Owner Karen Mazer. ”This gives our customers the chance to combine their love for the movie with their ‘passion for fashion.’”
To promote its Twilight-inspired fashions, the Boutique will offer many promotions and giveaways including tickets to see an advance screening of Breaking Dawn- Part 1 and Edward and Jacob life-size stands for customers to have their pictures taken with which, if added to Alfred Angelo’s Facebook page, will enter them into a special “Twilight Photo Sweepstakes.”
