Robin Vahle Joins ECAN Board of Directors

BALTIMORE ECAN (Esophageal Cancer Action Network) has appointed Robin Vahle, R.N. to a three-year term on its board of directors.

“I am excited about serving on the ECAN Board,” said Vahle, who previously attended the non-profit’s fundraising events.  “We lost my step-mother to esophageal cancer long before research had demonstrated the connection between GERD and esophageal cancer, and I am passionate about prevention of disease and early detection to facilitate a cure.”

“ECAN’s commitment to raising public awareness and increasing funding for research resonates with me on so many levels,” added Vahle, who also lost a friend to the disease.  “What we do makes a difference and saves lives.”
