Leadership Maryland Selects Martha Nathanson, Esq., Vice President of Government and Community Engagement at LifeBridge Health, for its Class of 2014

Baltimore, MD – Martha Nathanson, Esq., vice president of Government and Community Engagement at LifeBridge Health, and a resident of Baltimore, has been chosen as a member of the Leadership Maryland Class of 2014.

Nathanson is one of 52 accomplished Maryland leaders, from the public, private and non-profit sectors, selected to participate in an eight month program, which will focus on the issues, challenges and opportunities affecting residents across the state and in surrounding regions. “The Leadership Maryland organization made a wonderful selection with Martha. She is one of a dedicated team of executives at LifeBridge Health who recognizes that our health care system, as an anchor in the communities we serve, has a responsibility to help rebuild neighborhoods in need as well as provide programs that promote health to our residents,” said Neil Meltzer, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health. “Martha has been a strong champion of community development in her own Baltimore neighborhood and sees issues from many points of view.”

The 2014 Maryland Leadership program begins in April and runs through November with graduation in December. Class members will tackle topics including economic development, wellness, education, human services, criminal justice, the environment, and multi-culturalism. More than 100 experts representing business, government, education and the non-profits will serve as panelists and guest speakers.

“Participants come from a broad spectrum of highly qualified executives from an extraordinary pool of applicants,” said Renée M. Winsky, president and CEO of Leadership Maryland. “After participating in our comprehensive program, I am convinced that these leaders will share in a unified effort to help shape Maryland’s future just as graduates have in past years.”

LifeBridge Health one of the largest, most comprehensive providers of health services in Maryland. In addition to Sinai Hospital and Northwest Hospital, it also includes Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Courtland Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and related subsidiaries and affiliates.
