Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set for Farmers Market Tuesday

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the new, permanent location of its weekly farmers market at Office Depot in Pikesville.

The Pikesville Chamber of Commerce and Baltimore County Councilwoman Vicki Almond will celebrate the grand reopening of the Pikesville Farmers Market on Tuesday.

The market, open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Tuesday through October, has finally found a permanent home at 1630 Reisterstown Road, in the parking lot.

At just after 11 a.m. the chamber, Almond and others will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site, said Jessica Normington, the chamber's executive director.

The market features produce from a variety of farmers, including fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers and baked goods.

The market was originally set up at . But, because of , it had to move last month, and took up residence at church center on E. Sudbrook Lane for two weeks.

This is the second week the market has been held near the Office Depot.
