Police: Second Driver Responsible for Truck Crashing into Restaurant

A motorist in a car veered into the truck's lane on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, causing the truck to crash into Mari Luna Latin Grille and Aqua Vision Center.

A car traveling on Reisterstown Road caused a truck to crash through the fronts of Mari Luna Latin Grille and Aqua Vision Monday morning in Pikesville.

The driver of a 2010 Honda Accord—Sharon James Adkins of the 1400 block of Landis Circle, Bel Air—was southbound in the middle lane on Reisterstown Road, when she "swerved into (the truck's lane) and struck the front driver's side door of the truck," said Louise Rogers-Fehr, a police spokeswoman.

The truck, driven by Jordan Duncan Palmeri of the unit block of North Main Street in Port Deposit, was in the lane closest to the businesses.

It crashed through the front door and windows of Mari Luna at 1010 Reisterstown Rd, through a support wall, and also the business next door, Aqua Vision Center, Rogers-Fehr said.

Both suffered structural damage, she said. A parking meter was also destroyed.
