Sport Clips Franchise Open in Pikesville

The new hair salon is located at 1433 Reisterstown Rd. in downtown Pikesville.

There's a new place to go for men's haircuts.

Sports Clips Haircuts is now open at 1433 Reisterstown Rd. in downtown Pikesville.

The franchise, one of 890 throughout the U.S., is billed as "a relaxing environment: with sporting events being shown on TVs throughout the salon," according to a news release.

Ravi Lahori of gave a positive review of the business on Facebook: "Great place & great service," he said.

Andrew Emerick, owner of the Pikesville Sport Clips, said in the release that there's no need to make an appointment, and stylists are trained in men's hairstyles.

The salon also offers hot-steamed towel treatment, neck and shoulder massages and massaging chairs in the shampoo area, the release states.

Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit the salon's website.

It's the “Official Haircutter” of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the release states, and "offers veterans preferential pricing on haircuts and franchises."
