Foundry Row Developers Sued by Solo Cup Over Electrical Plant Issues

Solo Cup is suing Foundry Row developers over an electrical plant that's on its former manufacturing site in Owings Mills.

"Solo Cup is accusing the developers of damaging the equipment inside the plant; failure to pay rent and blocking Solo Cup’s access to the equipment," according to an article in The Baltimore Sun.

Developers Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. and Vanguard Commercial Development Inc. purchased the former industrial site from Solo Cup and plans a shopping center anchored by Wegman's.

The groundbreaking ceremony for that development was held in April.

But, under the sales agreement, the developers must maintain the equipment in the plant, and pay rent on it through 2017, according to the article.
