4. Take it from police. Lately, thieves have been targeting items in unlocked vehicles, so Officer Larry Stallings of the Community Outreach Team advises residents to lock doors and keep property, such as sunglasses and device chargers, locked up and out of sight. .

5. Here's a reason to cheer. Are you or someone you know into cheerleading? Registration for the Pikesville Wildcats' cheerleading program is from 6-8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Sudbrook Magnet Middle School, 4300 Bedford Ave., Pikesville. .
