Patching at Quarry Bagel & Cafe

The Patch newsroom moved to Quarry Bagel & Cafe on Dec. 1.

Jessica Normington, executive director for the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce, stopped by to chat about the goings on in Pikesville.

Among the tidbits she offered is that is no longer open. I'll be looking into this. Anyone with information, please give me a call at 410-302-9093.

On a sweeter note, I'm happy to report is still serving a to all customers. On Thursday the selections were spice, or chocolate with buttercream icing.

Gone from the menu is the delicious Caprese panini I raved about a few months ago. But in its place is a seasonal special: turkey and goat cheese panini with mango chutney.

I haven't tried it yet. Had to have bagel and lox Thursday with an everything bagel and a side of kalamata olives. Just had to. But if you try the new panini, let me know how it is!

Quarry Bagel doesn't stop at turkey sandwiches. Also on the menu is a hot turkey platter, chef Andrew "Pic" Gould's special.

It's "Oven roasted turkey breast served on top of thick, white bread and covered in gravy," the menu states. It's served with fries. Basically, an open-faced turkey sandwich with gravy.

Quarry Bagel & Cafe is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

It's located at 2628 Quarry Lake Drive in Pikesville. For more information, call 410-753-3350.

Nearby, was offering samples of their three seasonal lattes: gingerbread, peppermint mocha and caramel Brulee.

I tried the caramel and the gingerbread throughout the afternoon. They were tasty. Rich too.
