Cheapest Gasoline Along Reisterstown Road: $3.64 Per Gallon

We drove Reisterstown Road through Pikesville and north across Owings Mills Boulevard to find the cheapest gasoline.

Rather than make our usual trek up and down Reisterstown Road solely in Pikesville, we decided to do an experiment to find out if gasoline prices are cheaper further north in Owings Mills.

We hate to break it to you our beloved Pikesvillians, but gas is a few cents cheaper outside our neighborhoods.

The Winner: The cheapest gas Monday afternoon was found at BP, located at 10231 Reisterstown Road, by the Painters Mill Shopping Center, where regular gasoline cost $3.64 per gallon. Silver cost $3.74, the same as regular gas at Pikesville locations, and ultimate cost $3.89.

The Runner-Up: The next-best deal was $3.69 per gallon of regular, which can be found at the BP at 9604 Reistertown Road by Greenspring Valley Road; at Shell, located at 10301 Reisterstown Road by Rosewood Lane, and at the Exxon, located at 10540 Reisterstown Road, just past Owings Mills Boulevard.

In Pikesville: If you don’t have the time to head out to Owings Mills for gasoline, your best bet is to go to the BP, located at 1737 Reisterstown Road, or to Sunoco, located at 1718 Reisterstown Road. Both are near the . Each advertises $3.74 for regular gasoline, $3.87 for plus and $4.03 for ultimate.

But even motorists in Owings Mills aren't pleased with current gasoline prices.

James Morris, of Owings Mills who buying gas at the Shell on 10301 Reisterstown Road by Rosewood Lane, said today’s gasoline prices are “criminal.”

He said he prefers Shell gasoline over gas at some other stations. However, “at 3.99 [per gallon of V-power] it’s criminal and these national corporations are taking us, you know, the regular-Joe, working people as hostages.”
