"Crime and Pun-ishment" A Murder Mystery Dinner

  • Where:  8706 Belair Rd, Nottingham
  • When:  Saturday, April 27, 7 p.m.
  • Description:  The Murder Mystery Company presents a traditional murder mystery set in the world of 1920’s gangster land.  
  • Cost:  $60

Alzheimer’s Association Annual Dementia Conference: Making Connections

  • Where:  1726 Reisterstown Rd., Pikesville
  • When:  Friday, April 26, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Description:  Full-day event will feature expert speakers providing the latest on Alzheimer’s research and practical information on Alzheimer’s care. Mark K. Shriver will discuss his book about his father’s deterioration from Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Cost: $35

Variety Night Bingo

  • Where:  2501 Putty Hill Ave, Parkville
  • When:  Doors open at 6, first game at 7 p.m.
  • Description:  Bingo evening to benefit the Tall Cedars Foundation which aids in Muscular Dystrophy research. Lite fare of hotdogs, snacks, etc. available. All attendees must purchase a ticket, no exceptions. 50/50 raffle drawing to be held that night.
  • Cost:  $20

Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

  • Where:  2200 York Rd, Timonium
  • When:  Friday, April 26: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 27: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 28: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Description:  More than 250 artists and craftspeople display and sell their unique, handcrafted items during the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.  Visitors will enjoy live music, interactive children’s entertainment, gourmet goodies to sample and buy from dozens of specialty food vendors, and demonstrations from master craftspeople.
  • Cost:  $10

Maryland Hunt Cup

  • Where: Tufton Ave, Reisterstown.  Click here for directions.
  • When:  Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m.
  • Description:   Annual Hunt Cup race. In 1894, the members of the Elkridge Fox Hunting Club challenged the members of Green Spring Valley Hounds to a timber race: the first Hunt Cup. Although the first race was limited to members of the two clubs, the next year the race was opened to all fox hunting clubs in Maryland, and in 1903, members from recognized clubs throughout the United States and Canada were invited to participate.
  • Cost:  $35 per car

Underground Railroad Bus Tour

  • Where:  Union Bethel AME Church, 8615 Church Lane, Randallstown
  • When:  Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Description:  The one-day bus tour will take visitors to the former slave church, Cherry Hill AUMP Church in Randallstown; old Union Bethel AME Church where runaway slaves were hidden; listen to a talk at the Emmart-Pierpont Safe House; arrive at workshop of Nicholas Smith, Underground Railroad Conductor.
  • Cost: Free

Boordy Vineyards Reds, Whites & Bluegrass

  • Where:  12820 Long Green Pike, Hydes
  • When:  Sunday, April 28, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Description:  Visitors are invited to enjoy Boordy's selection of red wines and white wines to the tunes of Baltimore's best bluegrass bands playing outdoors on the patio (inside the Boordy Barn if weather is bad).  Participants may bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic - or purchase food from Boordy’s caterer.
  • Cost: $15 Adults / $10 Teens / $5 Children 2-12
