Moths, Vocals and Bikes: Five Kid-Friendly Events This Week Near Pikesville

If your and your kids don't have a plan, this list can help you form one.

Patch is always on the lookout for events for kids. Here are five kid-friendly events for kids—and their parents.

1. Get out of the heat and into an exhibit. "" is on display at the American Visionary Art Museum, 800 Key Hwy., Baltimore. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays, visit artistic images that evoke smiling, laughter and humor, including comedian Michael Baldwin's vintage toy assemblages.

2. Take in an afternoon of vocals at Peggy and Yale Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills. Adults and older kids who are fond of music can enjoy the at 4 p.m. Sunday. Groups from Long Island, New Brunswick, Philadelphia and north and south New Jersey will perform. Matthew Lazar, founder of HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir, will conduct.

3. Get your little ones involved in at Pikesville Branch Library, 1301 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville. This is a program for newborns and babies through 23 months old. It's held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Call to register.

 4. Ride bikes in EcoDash at Kayam Farm at the Pearlstone Retreat and Conference Center, 5425 Mount Gilead Road, Reisterstown. Cyclists can participate Sunday in . An EcoFair for the whole family will be held afterward, from noon to 3 p.m.

5. Learn about moths and butterflies at Cylburn Arboretum, 4915 Greenspring Ave., Baltimore. "" will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Nicki Schwab will delve into the world of these winged insects.
