GRAB & GO: A Handy List of Fun Events for Parents, Kids

Let your kids read with the patient company of dogs; see a couple of family-friendly plays; and dance the night away. All this week in the Pikesville area.

• Why Go: There are activities, stories and music for children ages 2-5. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Why Go: Learn about the dance styles of artists such as Michael Jackson. Wear loose clothing and be ready to dance! For families and kids.

• Where/When: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Feb. 26, Randallstown Branch Library, 8604 Liberty Road, Randallstown.
• Why Go: Kids can register to come out and hone their reading skills with these dogs who are nonjudgemental and good listeners. These dogs are from the HEARTS program.

• Where/When: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 26 and 27, St. Timothy's School, 8400 Greenspring Ave., Stevenson.
• Why Go: Presentation by Little Pumpkin Theatre. The story is based on the book by Laura Joffe Numeroff. The play is directed by Jimi Kinstle and features Tammy Crisp and Alec Weinberg with original music by Mandee Ferrier Roberts.
• Cost: Advance tickets: $12; at the door: $14; groups of 10 or more: $10/each.

• Why Go: This is a children's opera featuring members of the CAC and KSDS communities. Underwritten by Sandy Hittman and family, the songs will be sung in English. All are welcome.
