St. Catherine of Siena Topic of One-Woman Show

Sister Nancy Murray, a Dominican sister, will bring her one-woman show, "Catherine of Siena: A Woman for Our Times," to Baltimore.

The show will be held at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 12 at 's LeClerc Auditorium in Baltimore.

The show is held to benefit the Atlantic-Midwest Province of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

Murray portrays an early feminist and political activist, according to a news release from the School SIsters of Notre Dame.

"Fiesty and outspoken, she sparred with popes, cardinals and political leaders and is credited with persuading the papacy to return to Rome from Avignon in 1376," the release states.

She died at age 33 and was canonized in 1461, it states.
