Green Spring Valley Garden Club Flower Show, Lecture and Reception

The Green Spring Valley Garden Club will hold its flower show from 2-4 p.m. May 15 at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore.

The flower show, titled "Her Story—Our Story 1912-2012" costs $6 for admission.

Later that evening, there will be a reception and lecture from 6-8 p.m., according to a news release from the society.

For the lecture Dean Norton, director of horticulture at the Mt. Vernon Estate, will present "Welcome Home, George Washington!"

The lecture explores the landscaping at Mt. Vernon.

Tickets to the lecture and reception are $40 apiece.

An open bar and hors d'oeurves will follow the lecture. Reservatoins are required.

All proceeds from the event support the museum.

The flower show continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 16.
