The Friends of the Pikesville Library Guest Speaker Series continues at 1 p.m. each Wednesday.

On Jan. 4 Susan Reimer, columnist for The Baltimore Sun, presents "Supersizing the American Job."

On Jan. 11, Judge Dana Levitz, retired Baltimore County Circuit Court judge, discusses stories from the bench.

Following is the rest of the schedule through Feb. 29, according to "Datelines:"

Jan. 18: Olive Waxter and Bob Gist. Waxter is director of the Hippodrome Foundation. Gist is docent. They discuss "Broadway in Baltimore: The History and Restoration of the Hippodrome Theatre."

Jan. 25: Catherine Rogers Arthur. She's director and curator of the Homewood Museum at Johns Hopkins University, and will present "Food, Farming and Festivity in the 19th Century."

Feb. 1: Cindy Kelly, author of Outdoor Sculpture in Baltimore presents "A Neighborhood Sculpture Tour of Bolton Hill."

Feb. 8: Jed Gaylin, music director and conductor of the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra discusses "Petrouchka: Cinematography Before Film."

Feb. 15: Louis Diggs, historian and geneologist, discusses his eighth book: Our Struggles: Historic African-American Communities in Southeast Baltimore County.

Feb. 22: Angela Roberts-Burton, park ranger, discusses, while in period costume, "The African-American Experience at Hampton National Historic Site."

Feb. 29: A two-hour event: The story of 20th Century operatic diva Rosa Ponselle. This program honors the memory of Rhoda P. Levin, president of the Friends of the Pikesville Library.
