Dogfest 2011 Benefit: A DogDay Extravaganza

Families with dogs can enjoy a day of activities, games and pet education at the y.

There will be games, prizes and pets for adoption.

There will be plenty of room for endless number of activities, games, events, and contests on the society's 250-acre wildlife preserve.

"This is an important fundraising event for Baltimore Humane Society because our no-kill shelter in Reisterstown is operating at full capacity," according to a news release. "Adoptions are down and relinquishments are up so we desperately need the support of the community to give optimal care to all our pets."

  • hide ‘n seek
  • 20-yard dash
  • bobbing for bones
  • paw print painting
  • swimming
  • agility courses
  • Mary Swift Photography’s Best of the Fest Photography Contest.

Demonstrations will include the All American Pit Bull Terriers, Mid-Atlantic Disc Dogs, and jousting.
