5 Things To Do With the Kids

Stories, games and crafts for toddlers; see live birds up close, and the moon and stars up closer; a pow-wow and family art workshops are all coming up this week.

Monday and Thursday

Enjoy story time, games, songs and take-home crafts for 2-5-year olds at 10:30 a.m. July 8 at Pikesville Library, 1301 Reisterstown Road. Fun for kids ages 3-12 at 3 p.m. on Mondays through July (except July 4) at  Enoch Pratt Free Library Roland Park Branch, 5108 Roland Ave., Baltimore. Come see a bald eagle, a raven, a vulture, owls and hawks when birds of different feathers at 3:30 p.m. July 6 at the Enoch Pratt Free Library Roland Park Branch, 5108 Roland Ave., Baltimore. View the moon and stars in style from 5:30-9 p.m. Fridays through July at The Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St., Baltimore. With free access to the observatory, children of all ages and adults alike can see the moon, planets and stars. Friday and Saturday

Come out to dance, listen to music and check out the vendors at the annual Baltimore Pow-Wow open to all ages from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 9, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 10. Head over to the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road, Timonium. Admission is $5 per person and children 3 years old and younger are free. Sundays

Paint, build and sculpt as a family. The Baltimore Museum of Art’s All-American Art workshops are for anyone ages 2 and up. The free workshops are held from 2-5 p.m. on Sundays:

July 10: Build Baltimore Furniture

July 17: Sculpt a Clay Tea Set

July 24: Watercolor a BMA Landscape.
