'What's All the Fuss About?' Senior Center Posts Videos

The Pikesville Senior Center has posted new videos about the programs and camaraderie that members experience.

The Pikesville Senior Center is giving seniors a peek at activities through two new videos posted last week on YouTube.

In the first video, a member doing Tai Chi proclaims "There's something for everyone." And another member tells it like it is: "They made me old chronologically, but we still think we're young."

In a second video, members are asked to describe the center in three words. Here are some of their responses:

  • "Interesting, pleasant, informative."
  • "A good time."

On screen, another member said she thought it was a good idea to get out among her peers. "I decided it wasn't really good for me, sitting at home, dwelling on my health."

The senior center offers about 60 classes per week, including yoga. There are also scheduled trips, a cycling club and a fitness center.

For more information and a list of offerings, read Pikesville Pulse, the center's monthly newsletter.

The senior center is located above the Pikesville Branch Library at 1301 Reisterstown Road, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
