Sammy Friedmann will be busy over the next several weeks. He’s preparing for his September 5 Bar Mitzvah at Ner Tamid, but is also trying to raise money for a cause close to his heart.

He created a webpage on the site of the seventh annual Kennedy Krieger Institute’s ROAR for Autism fundraiser, which will take place May 1 at Oregon Ridge Park.

On that page, Sammy says: “I would really enjoy it if you and your family would be able to come and support me, my brother and my whole family in ROAR ... an event with a bike ride and walk that helps in raising money for research in Autism at Kennedy Krieger Institute.”

Additionally, Sammy will be working at the "Fast Pitch" booth that day, where local pitchers can see if they’ll be able to help the Orioles anytime soon. "He wanted to do this page, and he liked the idea of running a booth at the festival," said Brenna Friedmann, Sammy's mother.
