Students' Artworks on Display at Walters Museum of Art

Amid European sculptures and columns at the Walters Art Museum are beautiful works by elementary and middle school students in Baltimore County Public Schools. In case you don't have time to get to the museum yourself, we're bringing the art to you.

, 300 hundred pieces of artwork from Baltimore County Public Schools students are on display at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore through this weekend.

We visited the exhibit and took some photos to share.

According to a BCPS news release, many of the students' works, done in a variety of media, were inspired by pieces at the museum. Participating are elementary and middle schools.

There will be a closing reception from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 6. Students can participate in a variety of activities and will also receive a certificate for their participation, the release states.

The Walters, located at 600 N. Charles St., Baltimore City, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission to the museum is free.
